Come celebrate Independence Day a day early at Addison Kaboom Town! on July 3 at 7:00p.m. at the southwest corner of the Addison airport (fireworks at 9:30 p.m.) Instead of fighting traffic and crowds at the official event in Addison Circle, we will meet across the Addison airport on the southwest corner (see the map). From this vantage point, we are MUCH closer to the airshow and fireworks. After the event, we will carry on until after the departing traffic has died out.
There will be plenty of parking at 4180 Billy Mitchell Dr, a half mile walk from the viewing area. Lindbergh Dr will be closed for the event, so we will pitch our lawn chairs and coolers right next to the chain-link fence on Lindbergh Dr. where it is closed. Coming or going, it is recommended to avoid Arapaho and Belt Line roads. Instead, plan to take Surveyor Blvd across Belt Line and Arapaho from Beltway Dr.
