Join us July 22nd at 10:00 am for the Texins Dive Club Poker Run at Wheeler Branch State Park, Glen Rose TX (From Highway 67 in Glen Rose, take Bo Gibbs Boulevard and turn north on County Road 301. Divers compete underwater during a specified time frame to put together the “best of five” cards for flushes, straights, full house, or multiples of one card (four of a kind, three of a kind, etc.). Standard Hoyle poker rules for five-card draw apply. Divers will search our game area for special plastic-coated cards that are attached and floating from fishing bobbers. Grab your first five cards and then improve your hand taking a new card and then putting one back on the clip where you found the new card. Participants are constantly changing out cards so you have to keep searching the game area to find those winning cards. Prizes will be awarded for the best 3 hands.
We will break for lunch and for up the grill for club sponsored hot dogs! Club will provide hot dogs, buns, chips and water. Feel free to bring sides. Watch your inbox for the Evite! We will need a headcount to plan the food.
